How to reverse text
- Enter your text. Type or paste your text in the Text to reverse box.
- Choose how to reverse. Pick one of the four options: Reverse letters, Reverse word order, Reverse each word or Reverse line order.
- Copy the result. The reversed text appears at once in the Reversed text box. Press Copy to use it.
What does it mean to reverse text?
To reverse text is to write it in the opposite order. The last letter comes first and the first letter comes last, so "Hello" becomes "olleH".
This tool can also reverse larger parts of a text: the order of the words, the letters inside each word, or the order of the lines.

The four options

The first three options work inside each line. The lines stay in their place unless you choose Reverse line order.
Why the result may not look right
- The text stops growing. The box takes up to 100,000 characters.
- Arabic, Hebrew or Urdu looks strange. These scripts join their letters and run from right to left. Reversing the letters breaks the joins, so the result is not readable.
- Punctuation moves to the front. The tool treats a full stop or a comma as a character, so it is reversed with the letters.
